I’m so excited!

(Jumping up and down; can barely type.) I just got a spot in the writing workshop Jacquelyn Mitchard is doing for the Wilson-Center in November. Yes, it’s expensive, but I’m calling it a trip without any airplanes involved. I can’t wait! (And I better start writing. Time to take this idea seriously.)

Wow. That was a lot of rain.

I am currently pumping about six inches out of the pool. For the first time that I EVER remember, it overflowed. Are there rain totals yet? Is everyone ok? I noticed one of my Facebook friends was up in the morning clearing the perimeter of their home to make sure it didn’t flood.
