Creative juices rarely flow logically

I am two weeks away from a huge political crescendo in Wisconsin (see FC, but really only if you must) and all I can think of is sewing.

I haven’t done any sewing for fun in a lot of years. My last pull-out-my-hair project was someone’s prom dress where we redesigned the bodice. It turned out very well, but I wouldn’t call it fun.

What’s the culprit? I think it’s this woman’s work. I’ve watched her put the fun into funky the last few months, and now I’m itching to go. Also, I’ve decided an old HO train table son #1 had started in the basement would make a great cutting table. How’s that for reclaiming your space?

Oh, and I ran across these felted purses that will be at the Hidden River Art Festival. That would be a good diversion, too.

So, anyone working on anything special? I have to say as much as I’m ready, it will still be a while before I get started.

It is strange but I have had similar feelings. I want to make some more jean purses. The hobo look is big again. Not saying I will do it!

I’ve been meaning to tell you, Meg carried the one you made her first day alone, and someone stopped her and TOOK PICTURES to duplicate it.

My mom’s gone all Fifth Avenue.
