When frogs fly

July 28, 2010 at 2:07 pm --by Cindy · 4 Comments

I spent some time lallygagging in the pool this morning. A frog joined me.

He stared at me, and I stared at him. I told him he better not. He gave me one final defiant look and leaped in anyway.

We actually spent some time swimming together, Frog and I did. Then he tired and crawled up on the top step of the ladder. That’s when the fun began. When I went to scoop him out, he jumped back into the pool. I chased him for a while, and finally catapulted him out using our favorite critter tool – a kitty litter scooper.

Not to worry. It was just a little flying experience, but he seemed to get the message. He looked at me for a bit and then hopped off on his way.

Believe it or not, that’s the most exciting thing that’s happened to me today. The second most exciting is going to be putting the wash to the dryer.

Yep, it’s that dull around here. But I kind of think it’s a good thing.

Reduced to swimming with Mr. Frog, eh? ;) Actually, I love the story! You created a great visual of the standoff and the final outcome!

You always had a thing for frogs. Remember the “piano playing frog”?

This is an interesting read on the symbolism of the frog:
