I am currently pumping about six inches out of the pool. For the first time that I EVER remember, it overflowed.
Are there rain totals yet? Is everyone ok? I noticed one of my Facebook friends was up in the morning clearing the perimeter of their home to make sure it didn’t flood.
Heard we got 4.5″ in this area. We are okay here, just real tired. Don’t think I slept a wink.
I woke #2 up at around 1:25am to help me pull all the stuff off our windowsills and lay down rags because the people above us left their storm windows open. Water was leaking through the actual frames and it was like our windows were raining.

Our gutters and old windows couldn’t handle it. Had some seepage in the basement. I was up four times. I’m tired but all is well.
The sump pump here never runs – we’re really high – but it ran constantly for a couple of hours this morning. Good thing we had electricity.
