Remember this discussion of the I-forgot-to-go-to-class dream? Well I’m absolutely in agreement this dream comes up when I’m in fear of being judged because I had it again early this morning. Today is the big day when a Wisconsin County judge decides on a summary motion to dismiss Joe Niebler’s lawsuit against me.
We’ve been through this before, but I’m fully aware not everyone reads here because they like me. However, if you do (or if you can even tolerate me, or if once I wrote something that answered one of your life’s biggest – or even most trivial – questions) then send a little positive energy toward Judge Rameriz’s way that he’ll see things as my very competent attorney has lined out in a series of documents. (AKA briefs, but I can’t use the word without Fruit of the Loom characters starting to dance through my head. Yet another reason I would likely NOT make a good attorney.)
Now, if you read here because you can’t wait to see me fail, well, then think about the wonderful weather we are going to have this week. 
I was up very early. I am rather anxious. I will let you know from the courthouse how it all goes. There’s a little comfort in understanding that I can’t actually lose today: Either I win and this is all over, or it’s just more of the same and we continue on through the second YEAR of this folly.
By the way, good morning Mr. Niebler. I’ll see you in a few hours.

And, you should think about law – we need more lawyers with a good sense of humor!

Cindy, I am so sorry about this outcome but don’t let it get you down! It isn’t over. Maybe it is my fault for encouraging you to speak up. You come from a line of strong women and we never were known for being quiet.

Thanks Mom. It’s true – no one would describe this lineage as meek. I even remember my great grandmother getting her word in quite clearly at times.
