Well, first I explained to the automotive repair folks that I knew the car wouldn’t act up for them, but since it died on me a couple of days ago in the middle of the intersection, I wasn’t going to pick it up until they found the problem and fixed it. And no, I’m not inclined to buy their extra services until they get it done.
I sorted through, washed, and dried the youngest’s clothes for the very last time. (Yippee!)
I added an extra hard drive to her computer to store the mountains of music she owns. (I don’t mind. Keeping her in allowance gets the chores done around here. She can spend it any way she wants.) This wasn’t as easy as expected since I looked up specifications and thought a SATA drive was in order. When I got in the box (one of those tool free models that means you practically have to throw it against the side of the house to unstick the case) I realized the drive was EIDE.
That meant a trip to the basement to cannibalize a drive and a cable from a box that Son #2 left down there last year. Then I invented all kinds of new and unpleasant words as I had to troubleshoot why the stupid drive refused to be recognized. It turned out to be a bad cable.
Now the drive is formatting. I’ll put it all together again once I know it’s good to go. In the meantime, I’m finishing a final load of laundry before I head to Best Buy to return the drive I didn’t use and pick up his birthday present. Then I’ll meet him and a couple of others for dinner.

This is a very long way of saying I didn’t get anything I wanted to do done today. I guess it will all be pushed off until tomorrow. Sorry!
