It was a quiet weekend. I liked that. Hope you had a good one, too.

I cut about a dozen peony stems this morning and arranged them. It turned out to be a bit of a biology lesson. I can’t believe all the critters, including a very large grub, that fell out of those blossoms. The flowers are very pretty on the kitchen island, so I guess it was worth it.

The countdown to graduation begins today. This is the first year Elmbrook is making Seniors take finals the second semester. How do I know that? Oh, maybe it’s because I hear some form of that as a complaint about 20 times a day.
Well, maybe I’ve exaggerated a little, but it’s definitely been mentioned.
There is some house preparation going on today as company is expected. I also need to head to the grocery store and buy out their current Diet Coke stock. I might need to pick up a few other things, too.

I guess someone got all upset about a picture in a previous post. Gosh, I hope they survive. Just remember, every time you visit my website you bolster my chances of being wildly famous someday. And you’ll be part of the story!
(Oh, please, that’s a Monday morning bit of humor. Still, as bloggers say, a hit’s a hit. They all count.)

The City of Brookfield has a Plan Commission meeting tonight. Not much on the agenda still. There is a request by Vino Cappucino for outdoor dining. I’m constantly amazed that 1) the City demands such control and 2) Wisconsinites will dine outside with a train coming through. Both seem to be the case, however.
I know I’m just a housewife and everything, but Vino Cappucino is in Mixed Use PDD #10, not in regular zoning. I would think the Plan Commission and Council would need to amend the PDD, not a “revised plan and method of operation.” Not that anyone is looking.
(Sorry if that was too wonky, but at least one reader will understand. I’m sure of it.)

That’s it for now. No promises this week, but I’ll be in touch.

Elmbrook doesn’t have senior graduation til Sunday? That’s really late! Franklin had theirs yesterday (or 2 days ago, depending on when you’re reading this).
