I know, I know Elmbrook school board. You told the press that by law you have to send the notices. Pooey. The fact remains you slide these pink slips out as you are negotiating the teachers’ contracts, then magically make everything good at the end of the process. It’s sleazy and needs to stop. Unsure about your budget? Figure out how to manage money better. And at the very least, warn your educators they need to keep their pink slip emotions out of the classrooms.

Sorry – guess I best fill in the back story. As predicted, all but two teachers that Elmbrook delivered pink slips to last February were recalled.

The way the administration handles this is grossly unprofessional and very unnecessary. It hurts the students, but it’s not like Elmbrook would actually care.
