Central’s fake football field

The gift that just keeps on giving now needs repair. Funny, I don’t recall that impressive list of Central athletic supporters paying off their pandered project.

How unfortunate for taxpayers. And the district swears they’ll need an operating referendum soon!

Really sorry leadership from the school board if you ask me. Funny, but one name is pretty consistent in all this rotten Central-sided decision making. Could it be her kids go there? Maybe one of them is into crafting jewelry.

I would bet any money that the taxpayers covered the gap in the pledge by the parent group who promised to pay for half that field. Can I volunteer to bring my needle and thread to fix this thing? I’d also be interested in knowing how many students are in the jewelry class every year? I do recall that before the $64 million high school renovation referendum, I attended a meeting at BC where an art teacher was there making the case for the ventilation hood for the jewelry class. So it was inevitable, since a teacher wanted that particular amenity, it would be paid for. Nothing too good.
I’m also astounded by the facilities recently built by Brookfield Academy. A whole lot better looking than anything EBSD has done, and I’m wondering how much paid? Their website describes the capital campaign to fund this construction started in 2005: “In addition to $12.5 million in short-term pledges, estate gifts of $2.5 million have been earmarked for future long-term costs associated with the project.” Seems like they got a lot for their money.
