You aren’t going to have much sympathy for me.

My laptop died again.

All of you loving your Macs do it now and get it over with: “You should have bought a Mac!”

Well I didn’t. So now it’s obvious this little lovely is a lemon, it’s going to the shop, under warranty thank goodness, to see if any life can be coaxed from it.

Yes, I’m backed up – all except a couple of weeks of calendar stuff. I am terrible about syncing my iPhone to my computer, so let me explain. If I promised you I’d be somewhere in the next three weeks or so, you’d better let me know again. Other than that everything should be fine.

Just know that I no longer like my Toshiba Satellite T135-S1309. It’s poopy. Don’t buy one. It looks from my internet research that they are indeed having a lot of trouble with them.

Save your money and buy a Mac instead.

I want to get a Mac Mini someday. I have a Lenovo/IBM laptop and it works great!

    Get a Mac
    Get ATT Uverse

    We’ve discussed this before …. come into the light .. .come…. it won’t hurt….

Let me try this a different way so you understand … you know how happy your life became when you didn’t have to deal with Scott Berg? You’ll feel the same way when you don’t have to deal with Microsoft. (smile) See?

Well, believe it or not I’m still sort of dealing with Scott Berg (long story, I’ve tried to keep you all out of it) so I’m not really sure how it feels yet.

I am buying the youngest a Mac to take to college. I promise, on my honor, my next laptop will be a Mac.

I’m still unresolved about the TV thing. Good grief, the options are confusing and expensive. Maybe I don’t need TV.

I won’t repeat my mantra about Macintosh – but, only because of the last line in your blog entry and the fact that you bought your daughter a Mac ;)

Wilson828 is correct that you will be happier with a Mac in your life and you will bask in the glow of its light from the first day that you get it.

Anthony, my husband just got a Mac Mini for his work office and he’s so pleased!

I’m a professional Mac geek in an office environment that’s 95% Mac. I’m sick of fixing all of the personal PC’s of the employees, getting viruses/spyware, Windows getting hosed, et. al. (things that generally don’t happen on Mac – yeah, once in awhile you may have to reinstall the OS, but it’s not like Windows where you need to do so every 6 months or so or else your PC slows down and/or gets flaky).

I keep telling these folks to go Mac, some have, but many look at the price and refuse to pony up (people are cheap). No one thinks about the value of their time, apparently. My Macs, and the equipment here, just works (I never had a Windows laptop that reliabily would sleep/hibernate, it’s like Russian roulette, it’ll work 9 times out of 10 but that 10th time… *sigh*). Throw in the built in Time Machine backup (makes backup of your data so *easy* and *automatic* that you don’t have to think about it)… yeah, it’s well worth the extra $ to me.
