Cool! and rats.

The Brookfield Public Library has some amazing books on Spain. Unfortunately, I’m beginning to realize I’m spending about three months less than I really need to see everything I’d like. Time to move into compromise planning. Really, really compromise planning. Like three cities and Toledo.

My frustration began after glancing through this book. In fact, I just bought a copy. Oh, well. My ten days or so are still better than nothing.

I did find a fabulous rental in Granada. I love VRBO.com. It was one of you several years ago who introduced me. What a treasure that site has been! Our favorite NYC place is from there. Between VRBO and TripAdvisor, I’ve had some amazing and well-priced stays.

Someone (who shall remain nameless ;) ) thinks I’m a little nuts for not wanting to visit San Lorenzo de El Escorial, but really, I just don’t see how to fit it all in. I used to say I wasn’t big into palaces. A trip to Versailles changed all that. So yes, if there were time, I’d go.
