The wife and I are thinking of dumping cable too. With Netflix DVDs coming in at a steady pace and the ability to stream in HD, I don’t think I’ll miss it much. PLUS theres an extra $60 in the pocket every month! We plugged our TV in the bedroom into a nice little antenna I found on Monoprice and have 10-15 channels. The locals are in HD and look surprisingly good for a $15 antenna.
You were the one who even gave me the idea.
Man, I wish we had an internet option like we have an antennae option. I do feel a bit raked over the coals when it comes to broadband.
I guess I have no idea how much it is for TW Road Runner. My internet cost is sort of built into my rent as we share a WiFi with the landlord. How much is the standard plan?
I don’t know that there is a standard plan! You kind of pay whatever you can bargain for after several days on the phone. They also have several different tiers of service.
I do have to think their business model is in trouble if we’re all talking about walking away.
The standard rate is around $50/mo.
