Anyway, Wachovia bank has sued to foreclose upon the Vincent Kuttemperoor development in Florida. You can read more about it all in this article from Golf Digest. Here’s the word from the Naples News.
I doubt they’ll manage to come up with new financing. After all, they’ve been at it for a while.
What effect will this foreclosure have on Brookfield’s economy? Isn’t VK a big part of our tax base? You’ve got to wonder how long the Speaker city hall has known about this situation.
I doubt Speaker knows or understands the implications even now. VK’s been liquidating the last few years, but I haven’t kept track.
It would take some checking, but I even think the approval for Percheron Square is expired. He had to get that approved to keep his scheme going from the lenders.
The house of cards is falling, that’s for sure. Thank goodness we didn’t swap Swanson. He would have failed to deliver, there’s no doubt.

No, it doesn’t appear that the business named VK Home has filed for bankruptcy.

I am getting a lot of hits on fairly conservative with people looking for the progress on his personal house near Capitol Drive in Brookfield. Maybe I’ll put out some feelers for that today.
