Well, Senior Ball dress shopping went very well. I will admit that’s partly because she shopped alone. She found a hip black dress, layered lace shrug, and a pair of darling boots for…$26. No kidding. We’ll be springing for a new pair of sheer black tights, too. I figured we could budget for it.
It’s tough business when a kid picks up one of your traits you recognize as unpleasant. This one, however, has a bent for bargain shopping that has been perfected for generations. That’s a fine thing to be passing along.
The dress is a $10 closeout from one popular young female hang out, the jacket a bold $11 from another. The shoes, a spectacular find, were $5 from the new Goodwill off 124th. There’s a darn good chance the tights will cost more than any other single item.
Best of all, she looks and feels like a million bucks.
To shopping with style!
That is something to be proud of and it’s very hip to be frugal now. I love the Goodwill off of 124th and I also like the one in Waukesha, too. This trait will serve her well as she makes her way in the world
That’s my girl!
Smart AND beautiful! Seems that it’s in the genes.
