Last night before I tucked into bed I put the 30 or so articles retrieved from two years of magazines away. They are happily managed in a binder now. I also found a couple of things I need to scan and send to friends who are planning trips of their own.
That’s about 50 magazines out of here!
Some of the information is good. Did you know you can now secure advanced tickets to the Eiffel Tower online?
I will admit I’ve only gone once in my handful of trips to Paris, and you saw that picture a few days ago. Waiting in line with my daughter was actually fun. She was a captive audience, and those moments are hard to come by. We went in the late afternoon, and it was a wonderful choice. As we were on the second platform again (the top is too tall to really be any fun), the lights flickered on. I’d not paid attention to the fact the tower had been configured with lighting. It was magical.
Ooops. Sorry. Got a little sidetracked there.
Anyway, that’s done. All of that armchair travel was fun. Today I’m taking down a couple of sets of shelving – you know, the plastic kind with round legs that you put together – and sending it on to son #2. The back room is really making progress! School’s out, too, so there is likely to be a considerable amount of lallygagging around here.
It’s hard to believe there’s one more semester until she’s launched. I’m starting to choke a bit on the concept.
