Day two: no news is good news

I am pleased to report I’ve survived my second day without making political commentary. Ok, so I cheated and left a couple of comments on a friend’s blog, but really, I think that’s a good start. Don’t you?

On the home front I shuffled the leftover Christmas decorations from the last place they landed in the basement to a more permanent storage location. I vacuumed. I ignored responsibility and ordered pizza for dinner.

So I’m not perfect.

I suppose it’s time to make a few days of menus and head the store, but I would much rather stay in vacation mode.

I am getting sidetracked thinking about pizza. Yum! What is your favorite pizza place?

  2. Cindy says:

Well, my favorite as far as taste is probably Marty’s. I know, it’s old fashioned, but it’s also very cheesy. I end up ordering from Domino’s more often than not. Thin crust ham and pineapple is my favorite.

  3. Pat says:

Have you had Rosati’s? It’s on North Ave between Calhoun and Brookfield Road. It’s in a little strip mall on the south side of the street. I like Balistreri’s in Tosa and, of course, Marty’s is yummy, too. I had already planned dinner tonight but may now have to order pizza tomorrow.

  4. Cindy says:

That would be next to Mings. No, I haven’t tried it.

  5. Pat says:

They had a thin pizza called double dough because the edging is doubled. Yum! Here’s a link

Sorry, I meant to type “They “have”" instead of “had”…not enough coffee yet this morning!

  7. Cindy says:

Whoa. The picture on their Web site is a thing of beauty indeed!

You’ve convinced me. That’s my next pizza purchase.

  8. Pat says:

Let me know what you think. Someone just told me that there is a new pizza place on Bluemound in Elm Grove at the intersection of Elm Grove Road called Glass Nickel Pizza. I guess they have places in Madison and are venturing into our area. I don’t remember them from Madison but then again it’s been a few years since my hubby and I were living there.

  9. The Lorax says:

How about you ladies both run to the freezer at your local grocery store and try Home Run Inn pizza??

It’s hands down my favorite–flaky yet doughy crust, very cheesy. It’s better than most delivery.

  10. Cindy says:

Well there you go. Pizza problem solved.

Except Son #1 finally sent me the link for this crust

  11. Pat says:

Home Run Inn isn’t bad. The kids like Palermo and Newman’s, too.
