Whew!

Well that’s done. Let’s catch up.

Hubby and I took a few days to head to Anna Maria Island in Florida near Sarasota. Our trip home was delayed by 3 hours because the planes had ice, and Sarasota airport doesn’t own de-icing equipment. At the time we looked Sarasota, Florida was four degrees warmer than home.

Oops.

We did have a relaxing four days. In particular we went to the movies – twice! We hardly ever go out to the movies so that was a treat. Our first movie, The Blind Side, was really great. The hubby proclaimed it possibly the best movie he’s ever seen. I wouldn’t go that far, but it was exceptional. Our second movie was The Men Who Stare at Goats. Let’s just say the popcorn was good, and we’re both glad it was a dollar movie.

I also sketched out a piece on how to adjust your vacation when the weather doesn’t cooperate for the new site.

So, it’s time to figure out what’s for dinner. Time to get back ahead of the curve.

Good to have you back. My son saw The Blind Side with his friends and thought it was excellent. Have you seen Avatar yet? My hubby and son are thinking of going this weekend. I heard a bit on KLH this morning about some folks being depressed after seeing it because it makes their lives seem so ho-hum? I didn’t catch the whole dialogue but geez it’s a movie! Isn’t that why we call it entertainment? Here’s one story I found http://www.cnn.com/2010/SHOWBIZ/Movies/01/11/avatar.movie.blues/index.html

I get motion sick so easily I can’t imagine surviving a 3-d movie. I’ve heard of really bad headaches after watching it.

No, to be honest my fantasies tend to run more towards someone surprising me and unloading the dishwasher. That just happened this morning, though, so I may have to come up with another one.

I’m not interested in 3-D either. My daughter is but she’s too young for Avatar. I think this one is more for the guys at this house.

I’m with you on simple fantasies. Yesterday my hubby took me to lunch, opened the car door and helped me with my coat. Priceless. My ideal one is having someone take over carpooling for a month so that I could spend that time on other things. Although I do admit that listening to audio books has been a nice use of time while driving.

    Small world.

I’ll be parking my rear end on Anna Maria beach in about 2 hours. 75 and sunny.

I’m so glad it’s nice for you! Have fun.
