Well this has been a heck of a week so far.
First, because I retweeted the entry at Styles Salon and Spa near Madison, I won one of their luscious Aveda Rosemary Mint body wraps. It’s scheduled for the first week of November.
A few minutes ago, L’ Occitane from Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg called, and I’m the winner of a $250 product basket. I’d entered this summer while on a shopping trip when the Spartanettes were at a regional competition.
Now you have to understand something: I don’t win stuff by chance. I mean, there was a dictionary when I was a kid, but there’s been little in between.
It’s crossed my mind this is the universe’s way of suggesting I stink. I mean – these are rather aromatic winnings. But I’m going to look at it differently.
I think I’ll buy a lottery ticket for the first time in my life. Wouldn’t you?
Yes! Buy that lotto ticket! No – the Universe doesn’t think you stink but sounds like it thinks you need some relaxing and calming moments to perhaps destress? That’s how I’d look at it. Listen, on the 19th I made three stops and each time my purchases were $8.82; $88.20 and $28.80 – I’m not kidding. I had the thought that I should stop and get a Pick 3 and play 8-8-2…I didn’t. Anyway, the numbers for that day’s Pick 3 were 8-8-4!!! Now, I only would have had two of the three but wouldn’t that have counted for something. Always listen to your inner voice!
You lucky girl! Have fun with all the pampering – you deserve it. And no, the “universe” doesn’t think you stink!
